Izere Project

General Information

The “Izere Project Team” is a partnership between Nigerians from various tribes and members of CMBC. We have been working together since the Gardners moved to Jos as Bible translators in 1991. The goals of the Izere Project are:

Translation
Contacting new tribal groups

Discipleship
Extend the village worker program

Luke/Jesus Film material for teaching and literacy
Jesus Film
Extend the ministry to another 150 new villages

Literacy
People who can read Izere in every village

Pastor training
Teach pastors how to lead a Bible-reading church

Coming up in October 2008-March 2009:
Steve Bissell, Rich Gardner, and others will be traveling back and forth to work with Nigerian leaders as the work expands from 12 tribes to include over 20 tribes! Contact the church office if you would like to help with a JESUS Film showing in Nigeria, join the Izere Project Committee here, or for email updates.
